Martin Garrix has announced that he will not be able to perform at the Festival Internacional del Globo in León this Saturday due to an unexpected case of appendicitis and the surgery that followed.

“I’m truly heartbroken to share that I’m unable to perform this weekend,” he wrote. “My doctors and team have strongly advised me to rest and recover to avoid any post-surgery complications. Please know this decision wasn’t made lightly — I have some of my favorite memories ever performing in this incredible country and at FIG León.”

It’s very rare for Martin Garrix to cancel a show. The last time was back in 2019, after he broke his ankle during a performance, and later only during the COVID-19 lockdowns, when touring was impossible. Known for his professionalism and dedication, he’s always done everything possible to keep his commitments and deliver unforgettable sets to his fans around the world.

The DJ also took a moment to thank his Mexican fans for their understanding and support, adding that this situation was a reminder that even he needs time to heal: “A good reminder for me that I’m human too.”

Garrix ended his message on a hopeful note, promising to return soon once fully recovered. From all the Garrixers community, we wish him a full and speedy recovery!
