Martin Garrix
STMPD RCRDS
In early 2016, just months after parting ways with Spinnin’ Records and MusicAllStars Management, Martin Garrix unveiled STMPD RCRDS. The name, stylized in all caps and pronounced “stamped records,” is a nod to his father’s stamp auctioning business. The idea of creating his own label was first revealed on Dutch national radio RTL Late Night on November 19, 2015, where he surprised fans by announcing that he was finally taking full control of his music.
The label officially launched in March 2016, with Garrix presenting it through episodes of The Martin Garrix Show on YouTube. Just a week after the announcement on March 4, he released the first single on STMPD RCRDS: “Now That I’ve Found You,” featuring John Martin and Michel Zitron. The track’s instrumental version, already familiar to fans as “Don’t Crack Under Pressure,” had been teased at Dancefair in 2015 and later played in his closing set at Sziget Festival. To mark the occasion, Martin hosted a special launch party in Miami during Ultra Music Festival week, inviting friends, collaborators, and fans to celebrate this new chapter in his career.
From the start, STMPD RCRDS was envisioned as more than just a personal outlet, it became a platform committed to quality and authenticity, designed to give space to both emerging and established artists. The label has grown into a respected force in the electronic scene, spanning genres from future bass and progressive house to trap and tech house, always driven by a passion for creativity over quantity. Over the years, it has become home to a diverse roster of talent, from Garrix’s own projects like Area21 to names such as Brooks, Dyro, Julian Jordan, LOOPERS, Matisse & Sadko, DubVision, and many more.
