Released on January 30, 2013, “Error 404” marked the second official collaboration between Martin Garrix and Jay Hardway. The track came out on Spinnin’ Records at a time when both producers were steadily building their names within the European big-room scene.
Driven by a heavy drop and a melodic breakdown, “Error 404” fit perfectly into the peak-time festival sound that was dominating early 2013. The release reached #16 on the overall Beatport chart, confirming the momentum that had started
with their previous work.
By this point, Martin was 16 years old and already gaining regular support from established DJs in club and festival sets. “Error 404” became a staple in early Garrix performances and helped solidify the creative link between him and Jay Hardway, months before the breakthrough that would redefine his career later that same year.
