In July 2012, Martin Garrix signed with Spinnin’ Records, the Dutch label that was also home to his idol, Tiësto. The signing marked a decisive step in his young career, placing him within one of the most influential EDM labels of the time.
On September 3, 2012, he released “Keygen” on streaming platforms. The track showcased his early big-room sound and growing production confidence. At that time, Martin had around 3,000 followers on Facebook, still at the very beginning
of what would soon become a massive global fanbase.
Around the same period, his official remix of “Your Body” was included on the deluxe edition of Christina Aguilera’s 2012 album Lotus. The “Your Body (Martin Garrix Remix)” gave him early international exposure outside
the EDM scene, associating his name with a major global pop artist and further strengthening his credibility as a young emerging producer.
