Released on August 6, 2021, “Love Runs Out” sees Martin Garrix collaborating with American rapper G-Eazy and singer-songwriter Sasha Alex Sloan. The single was released via STMPD RCRDS in partnership with Epic Amsterdam.
The track blends melodic pop production with hip-hop influences, built around G-Eazy’s rhythmic verses and Sasha Alex Sloan’s emotional vocal delivery. Lyrically, it explores the fear of losing love and the uncertainty that can exist within a relationship.
“Love Runs Out” followed Martin’s UEFA EURO 2020 anthem “We Are The People” and continued his expansion into cross-genre collaborations beyond traditional festival EDM. The official songwriting credits include Martin Garrix, G-Eazy (Gerald Gillum), Sasha Alex Sloan, Alex Hope, Chloe Angelides, and Oskar Rindborg.
Upon release, the single entered several international charts, including a #1 position on the Swedish Heatseeker chart and a Top 20 position on the New Zealand Hot Singles chart.
